Readers Forum > Successful dining in Paris!

I read the book carefully before our recent trip to Paris and made some picks ahead of time.

We ate at two of the featured restaurants in the Jussieu area -- L'AOC and le Buisson Ardent. We enjoyed both very much. Buisson was probably our favorite -- the restaurant was a bit more bustling and the prix fixe value was unbeatable.

We ate at two other restaurants using another guidebook. One was Kastoori, an excellent Indian restaurant not far from Montmartre and Sacre Coeur area. It was not only delicious but very inexpensive. The other was L'Opportun, in the Montparnasse area. I felt that one was trying to be something like Buisson, but with less success. My husband enjoyed L'Opportun more than I did.

But all of these meals were fine.

Thank you for all of the help you provided in your highly enjoyable book.
