A few thoughts from France travel June 2009 – Nice and Paris.

Alexander Lobrano continues to suggest winners:

Nice: We had a terrific dinner at Millesime 82 recently highlighted in your Diner’s Journal. Beautiful and very comfortable dining served by owner. Each dish was well prepared and served in large amounts. Sharing is appropriate, if not obligatory. And for some of the best gelato ever try Fennochio’s on Blvd Jean Jaures in area of main Nice bus terminal. A flavor for everyone’s taste.

Paris: Loved Le Villaret in the 11th where ambiance, food and service were tops. One of us had the tasting menu while the other ordered from the menu providing a range of experiences reflecting the kitchen’s skills. Each course – from soup to dessert was excellently prepared and really delicious – and do not miss the “riz au lait” with sorbet and berries. Now looking forward to next trip to Paris!
